One list a day: a season's top scorers in the Premier League or across Europe, a club's record appearance makers, the best goalscorers from one country, the keepers with the most clean sheets. Name everyone in the top 10. You get four lives on Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, three from Thursday to Saturday. A name that isn't on the list costs one. When you find a name, its number shows next to it.
Players tied on tenth all count, so some lists have 11 or 12 names. Find five or more to keep your streak. Give up whenever you like and the full list is shown.
Premier League lists from 2016-17 use the league's official player stats (via the Fantasy Premier League archive). Everything else, the Premier League before 2016-17, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Champions League from 2000-01, comes from Transfermarkt's match records. Each list counts only its own competition.
Start with the obvious names to bank points, then use your lives on the middle of the list. The seventh to tenth spots are usually squad players who had one good year. For club lists, think about who played the most minutes, not who you remember best.
The football version of Tenable: one list, ten names, a limited number of misses. Also called a top 10 quiz.
