How to play Swipe

A true or false football quiz against the clock. Each card is a fact about a player: played for Chelsea, is Brazilian, scored 100 or more Premier League goals. Swipe right if it's true, left if it's false. You can also tap the buttons, or use the arrow keys on a keyboard.

You have 60 seconds. Every right answer scores a point. A wrong answer costs 3 seconds off the clock. Get 15 or more right to keep your streak. Everyone gets the same cards each day, and about half of them are true.

Where the facts come from

Careers come from Transfermarkt and Wikipedia, and each club fact is checked against more than one source. Goal totals are Premier League totals for finished careers, or top-five-league goals since 2012. False cards are picked to sound right: a club from the same league, a neighbouring country.

Swipe FAQ

Does a loan count as playing for a club?

Yes. Any first-team game counts, loans included. Youth and reserve teams don't.

What happens if I reload or leave the page?

The clock keeps running. Come back and you carry on with whatever time is left, so play it in one go.
