How to play Scouted

One mystery footballer a day, always someone playing this season. Type any current player and you get five tiles comparing him with the mystery man: nationality, league, club, position and rating.

Green means a match. Amber on nationality means the same continent, and amber on position means the same line, so both defenders or both forwards. The rating tile has an arrow telling you whether the mystery player is rated higher or lower, and it turns amber when you are within 3. You have eight guesses. A first-guess answer scores 100, then 90, 80 and so on down to 30.

The players

Answers come from this season's squads, mostly the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, plus a few stars further afield. Mondays are household names, and it gets harder through the week to Saturday.

Scouted FAQ

Where do the ratings come from?
