Sixteen footballers. Four hidden groups of four. Tap the four you think belong together and submit. Get it right and the group locks in. Get it wrong and that's a mistake. Four mistakes and the game is over.
The groups can be anything. Players from the same club. Players from the same country. Players who wore the same number, won the same trophy or share a first name. There's always one group that looks obvious and has five candidates, and that's the trap. Find the group with only four possible answers first.
Every group you solve scores 10 points. Every mistake you didn't use scores 10 more. A clean solve is 80. Points bank to your account and count on the leaderboard.
A new puzzle at midnight UK, the same sixteen names for everyone. Mondays are the easiest and Saturdays are the hardest. When you finish you can share your result and see how your mates got on.
Don't submit the first four that fit. Look for the player who could go in two groups and work out where he has to go. Shuffle the board if you're stuck: names sitting next to each other look connected when they aren't.
Football Connections hints and answers: three hints first, then the four groups. Every past day is there too.
